The Academy Day

Academy gates open: 8:40 am  (soft-start for all pupils)

Pupils go straight to their classroom from 8:40am.

Registration at: 8:50 am  - Gates close at 8:50am

Registration takes place at 8:50am and pupils must be in class and settled by 8:50am.

Pupils arriving later than 8:50am are late. Persistent lateness is closely monitored.

Breaktime KS1: 10:10 am – 10:30 am

Pupils in Year 1 and Year 2 join KVPA KS1 pupils for morning breaktime on the KS1 playground, as well as shared access to the trim trail.

Lunchtime Foundation Stage pupils: 11:45 am - 12:45 pm

FS pupils eat their lunch in the hall with KVPA FS/Y1 pupils. From 12:15, FS pupils will visit the KS1 playground to play, socialise and explore, until 12:45pm.

Lunchtime Year 1/Year 2 pupils: 12:15-13:15pm

Y1/Y2 pupils eat their lunch in the hall with KVPA Y2/Y3 pupils. From 12:45pm, Year 1/2 pupils will visit the KS1 playground to play, socialise and explore, until 13:15pm.

Academy day finishes: 3:20 pm   

Please collect your child from the following collection points:

Foundation Stage: stand outside the FS classroom door

Year 1/2: stand near the Y1/2 external door 

We kindly request that you stand clear from the external doors, to avoid blocking entrance and exit points, as other KVPA pupils will also leave from these doors.

Please note: The safety of our pupils is paramount. We must ensure that each pupil is collected safely and by the right adult. Therefore end of day collection will take some time, particularly at the start of the academic year, while we get to know each child's parents/carers.

Please ensure that you inform the office by 2:30pm if someone different is collecting your child.
