Orchard View Primary Academy

The Glade (SEMH ARC)

As we do not yet have a physical building, we are unable to support expressions of interest or host visits at this current time.

Additionally Resourced Centre (ARC)- The Glade

The Glade is an SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) unit, opening within our mainstream primary academy at Orchard View.

The Glade will operate under a phased opening of up to 6 pupils initially (up to Y3), and will grow to a maximum capacity of 12 pupils aged between 4-11 years, who will all have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) with a primary need of SEMH.

The Glade will provide a safe, consistent and nurturing environment where children can develop the skills they need to regulate, build positive relationships and access their learning successfully.

More information regarding our plans and approaches for The Glade, will be published soon.

Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)

Pupils with an EHCP for Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs may experience difficulties managing their emotions, building relationships, and engaging positively with learning.

At The Glade, we aim to provide tailored support for children with SEMH by offering an environment where children can feel understood and valued. Through trauma-informed approaches, structured routines and personalised interventions, we will help pupils develop emotional regulation skills, strengthen their resilience and build positive connections with others.

Our aim is to empower every child to grow in confidence, overcome barriers and thrive both with in their wellbeing and their learning.

The Glade Team

The Glade is not yet open and Orchard View has not yet moved into its new building. Our staff team for The Glade, will be published here once successfully appointed.

The Glade Admissions

The admissions procedure for entry to The Glade is made through the SEND team at Buckinghamshire Council and via the EHCP annual review and phase transfer process.
