Eco-School Committee

At Orchard View Primary Academy, sustainability is at the heart of our academy.

Orchard View is proud to be Buckinghamshire’s first Net Zero Carbon in Operation academy. We want our children to understand the importance of caring for our planet and to feel empowered to make a difference.

Our Plan:

Our Eco-Schools Committee is made up of children from across Orchard View who are passionate about caring for our environment and making a positive difference.

They work together to share ideas, identify ways we can become more sustainable, raise awareness and encourage others across the academy to take action.

The committee meets regularly and will begin by carrying out an Environmental Review to identify what we are already doing well and areas where we can improve.

They will then use their findings to create an Eco-Schools Action Plan, which will be shared with the whole academy so that everyone can understand how they can play a part in making Orchard View an even more sustainable academy.
